B to the C

This summer we went to Bryce Canyon, a favorite of Kevin's family. And can I just say for a moment here how happy I am to have married in to this family?? Why yes, I can. I'm real happy about it guys - real happy.

If you follow my Instagram, some of these pics are repeats. But I feel like you'll be ok. Air smooch.

Photobucket

You know, I really should start being picky about the pictures I'm willing to put on the internet of myself. Until then...

Photobucket
We halked (hiked-more-like-walked) to this little waterfall.

Photobucket
And people were all, absolutely I will get in that freezing water. It's mostly not on option unless you have a camera around your neck so...winning!

Photobucket
Kevin is so hardcore he rides dirt bikes in shorts and flip flops. I know. It's like, who is this fearless man-beast??? HE MAH HUBBAND.

Photobucket

This munchface crazybuns played with rocks. All the live long day. Everyday. All the time. 24-7. Never stopped. Rooooooccccckkkkkkssssss.

Photobucket
Then, you guys. We put on a rodeo. Just, maybe you should read that last sentence one more time. Yes way, we PUT IT ON. The visitors ARE the rodeo. You volunteer to be awesome/stupid. So naturally, Kevin and his family lined right up. He rode a bull named Muffin Top. HE RODE A BULL NAMED MUFFIN TOP. Would you even believe it if I told you Kevin doesn't ride bull's for a living??? I was literally shaking. It seems a bit quick to go from "hey you've never been within 10 feet of a bull before? How bout you hop on and take a ridesy - he's suuuper pissed right now! Watch out for those horns!". Or is it just me?

Photobucket

There he is! What great form! I see the devil in that bull's eye. THE DEVIL. Anyway, he lived. With all important body parts plus $10 so total win/win. There's some really cute boots I've been eyeballin, so I was like, listen rodeo announcer - my husband will volunteer 20 more times. His official time was 5 seconds(1st place!), which is impressive considering the pros have to go 8. But when you watch the video back, apparently official time and actual time are not the same thing ;) "coughmorelike3secondscough".

Photobucket

My brother in law Ty. He's so country right now. Listen ladies, this heartbreaker is single.

Photobucket

Then we went to the lake. Some fished, some swam, some threw rocks...

Photobucket

Bad example alert! We had a rock skipping contest. And I'm not even lying...Kevin won. He brought his A-game to Bryce this year. Clearly I've got crazy bragging rights. Like, CHAMPION ROCK SKIPPER/3 SECOND BULL RIDER HUSBAND kind of bragging rights. Don't. Don't be jealous. I mean, probably you should though.

Photobucket

Also, my husband is the mighty dolphin on the right. If this post doesn't make you wish YOU were married to him, I don't know what will.

Photobucket

<3>

Photobucket

Again. SINGLE.

Photobucket
The shops are the cutest. I bought a dream catcher because seriously, when in Rome.

Photobucket

They let you put your kids in jail. So.

Photobucket

And when it got dark we played games and sang songs around the campfire. We pretend that this is for the kids - it's not. Children are forgotten and adults get competitive. My brother-in-law Erik put on this Don't Forget the Lyrics game. I bet right now you're thinking "Kevin won. It's the only way". And you guys....I can't make this stuff up.

Photobucket

Oh Bryce. My husband OWNED you that weekend in July.

P.S. i don't actually remember who won the Lyric game, but my heart tells me it was my husband's team. It just makes sense.

......................................................................................................................................

I'll leave you with one last picture. Because at this point, what's one more???

Photobucket

Next year, he's riding a sheep. Because cross my heart it's the cutest thing you'll ever witness. ever.

Vegetables and things of that nature.

i've talked about my garden once or twice before. i'm pretty proud of it. it says to me "Hey, you go girl!" when really most days i don't. i don't go. i am not that mama that has her workout in and is showered and ready by 9 am, has the house sparkling, and whittles wooden toys for her children in her spare time. BUT! but when I'm picking fresh things from my backyard in my pajamas at 3pm, I feel like yelling to my neighbs "H to the yeah! Are you seeing this stuff?!? I grew it! now I'mma EAT it!" and things. so.

here she is. hooo, she's a hot mess but i whisper sweet nothings to her anyway. honestly, we must have veggie crack in our dirt because things grow out of control with little to no effort on our part. my garden is like, the neighborhood bully keepin all the other veggie gardens is check - like what? you got pumpkins?? PFFF, i got 20! oh you need asparugus?? DONE. you jealous of my zucchini's leaves?? yeah that's right - they're HUGE. my peppers will take your peppers DOWN. what? WHAT??? chest bump.

Photobucket

and ok i'm lying. i have neighbors with rows upon rows of corn and entire lots dedicated to pumpkins. so maybe what we are dealing with hear is not actually a bully, but raging case of Small Garden's Syndrome. Shoot.
nash gets all kinds of excited to go out and see what's new.

Photobucket

he never fails to throw a bit of dirt and sticks into the mix.

Photobucket

we fill our pot. he usually snatches up the strawberries faster than I can get them in there.

Photobucket

and we fill it some more.
Photobucket

we even include the pepper that's half dead because a certain toddler wouldn't hear of it otherwise.

Photobucket

and hey look! beans! beans make us feel real good about life.
(lovely iphone pictures are literally burning my eyes)

Photobucket

we fill 'er up real nice and full.
Photobucket

and we head back to brag to the dog about all. our. stuff. the dog usually stares at us like he's bored (of all things!), but we know he's impressed.
Photobucket

then we display our goodies so when daddy comes home we can brag summore.
4 tomatoes, 3 peppers (1 deadish), 3 zucchini, 1 yellow squash (too big, can't use), handfull of cherry tomates, green beans, and strawbs.

anyway. we garden! and brag about it!

The girls with whom if we shared pants, we'd travel with them.

???

Or. . .

The pants that this sisterhood traveled with?

Hmm. . . .

The sisterhood that traveled and also?? ALSO we wore pants.
The sisters that shared pants while traveling in the 'hood. {it could happen}

Listen. There were pants and we traveled. Ok? Get off my back.

Seriously, get ready for a weird post. And alot of parenthesis cause im just in a parenthesis kind of mood.

((()))) <--- proof.

It's true though. We did that. We took us a little girls trip to St. George back in the beginning of June. And I've been working on this post since then. I mean it's not like I've been working hard on it or anything, I just can't seem to get a good flow going here so if you feel weird {like extra weirder than normal} after reading this....me too. ME TOO SISTER. Also, if you cringed at the uncorrectness {ha!} of my parenthesis sentence, this is not the post for you.

So. I was the official picture taker-er {whether people liked it or not} so I am in a total of exactly none of these pictures. Awe shucks, darn it, and other sad words. It's ok though, I didn't want to one up every one else's six packs with my 17 pack {it's impressive, you'll have to trust me}.

My friends.

Hooooboy I don't know what's with them, but they need to stop being all worky outty and eatty goody because WTF. LIKE SERIOUSLY WTF. These chicks are hot! They mostly come to me for advice {17 pack!} and I'm like *eyeroll* ok.

Also? I lost my voice on this trip. Yep. Like any time I wanted to even make the sound of a little bitty smoker's whisper, I had to use the force of 12 people yelling {I'm assuming, cuz how could I ever know for certain, right?}. So that was exciting. Who doesn't love losing their voice? Be honest. BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF. {just kidding, it really was awful}

Mostly all we did was lay out {I got sooooo tan}, eat, sleep, and play Catch Phrase {I'm a gamer. Not kidding I'd rather play games than do most anything}. It was delightfulness at it's best. Here are pictures. Mostly of us at the pool. Oh and I did what I thought at the time were "fun little filters" on most the pictures. Now I just think they look like poo. {uh oh, PMS??} You be the judge, but don't tell me...because...you know.
Photobucket   Soaking up the sun. It was hot, and it was hawt.

P.S. Haley there, in the middle? Due in September. I'm talkin DUE IN SEPTEMBER. Photobucket Sexy Brittany. No really, that was her nickname in highschool.
Photobucket Sheen Diggler. Photobucket Sara! Photobucket Talisia Photobucket Haley Photobucket Boo Boo. (also due in Septmeber!) Photobucket Britt was a JA-enius and pulled the chairs into the shallow end of the pool. It's like she went to college. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket The cute September mamas (I was told if I valued my life I'd keep my lens AWAY, but this one's so cute! So I got permish)

Lots of crappy iPhone pics coming right up!

Dinner!

Photobucket
Hey! There I am! Thanks Chef. Photobucket
Our Chef man was very forceful with his 7Up "Saki". He just kept going and going and going and I may or may not have spewed 7Up all over my meal/self. Would you have expected any less from me?

Photobucket
Haha, Talisia in the background. She was NOT having it. We were all laughing pretty hard so he was bound and determined to win her over but nope - she was completely unimpressed. Hahaha

Photobucket
Shopping! Kira loved these coral pants...

Photobucket
Sara loved this coral jacket...
Photobucket
Maybe Sheena loved them both. Together. Forever and always.

Maybe I made her do it. Mysteries, mysteries.

Photobucket

So yeah. St. George 2012. We had lots-o-fun. I LOVE my friends. Real glad I got 'em. We missed a good slew of girls that couldn't make it. We are thinking NYC next. Oh, no one that went to St. George knows that?? Weird. Well, hoot and holler now you know.
