I'm pretty redundant these days with my "everything is better with Nash" speech. But listen, EVERYTHING IS SO MUCH BETTER WITH NASH. The kid makes me wanna dot my i's with little hearts, take up skipping, do cartwheels, and make 17 different versions of chocolate chip cookies just to see which one is better. It's a straaaange thing that's happening in this household and I'm going with it. He's changed me. And I like it.
Anywhoodle, this post is about the 4th of July. And what I meant by all that is that it was especially fun this year because Nash is aware. He participates, gets excited, goes on 20 second rants of Gobbledeegook (toddler language, clearly) after EVERY SINGLE FIREWORK. Watching him is MY excitement, MY fun. Cue the collective awe. (you better be awe-ing)
We started off the day at my mom's with swimming, pizza, and popsicles. Nash is becoming quite the little fish and anything involving cousins is like his version of winning the lottery.
His swimming must-haves: bucket and lacrosse stick. I don't know, he's weird.
So gangster right now.
The kid stayed like that for a 2 full minutes. Again - he's weird.
Snuggin' with grandma.
Handsome Gager.
Camden gettin his cool on.
Then we went back to our house and had us a good ol' fashioned BBQ. We like to keep things pretty cliche around here.
Kiddie pools are are the reason summer was invented. I'm sure I have that right.
Get yourself ready for some black and whites.
Baby Hendrix!
Stayed like this forever too. Why I feel this is blog worthy I DON'T KNOW BUT I'M INCAPABLE OF EDITING THINGS DOWN AND IT'S A PROBLEM.
BroHeimer playin some ball with Becks. Look at our cute lil garden in the back. I'm a real live gardener. It's ok to be shocked.
What?! More black and whites?? Ok.
Then we took it out front for poppers, tanks, glo-sticks, sparklers and such.
And it got WILD.
I mean...he's one wrong move from rehab. We're working on it.
He might look a hair nervous here, but he LOVED it. Seriously I was prepared for him to be terrified all night because people in my neighborhood go bat-freaking crazy with the fireworks. We're talking who needs Stadium of Fire when you have the people down the street. THOUSANDS of dollars spent and I get a free, front row show :) Anyway, he was in heaven. And therefor, so were Kevin and I.
Thanks 4th. We love ya.
