This is what we're calling Beach Day #1.

Photobucket

The beach really outdid itself this time. Nash is at such a fun age. To him, everything is ridiculously fascinating. And exciting! And incredible!! He couldn't wait to see how quickly he could get sand in every nook and cranny possible. I timed him - he's quick. Like, qualify for the Olympics quick.
Photobucket

There isn't a Get Real Sandy event in the Olympics? Shame.

This was only a few short months ago and already he looks 17 years older. SOB.

Photobucket

A shovel and a bucket is the direct way to that childs heart. He will most certainly love you forever. And ever and ever, and never leave you until he's 30 and then moves next door.

See? Bucket and shovel people. Bucket and shovel.

We played and played and played. All day long we played.

Photobucket

And then things got a little...cheeky.

Photobucket

Who knew it wasn't a nude beach? So we got ourselves him dressed and called it a day.

Photobucket

We hauled our boogie boards in.

Photobucket

He's one cute boogie boarder wouldn't you say?

Photobucket

But he eventually gave up and hitched a ride in.

Photobucket
The little guy was not happy to be leaving. Neither was the big guy. Or the girl.

Photobucket

But we had pizza calling our names. Right behind that adorable little lighthouse.

Photobucket

And when pizza calls our names....

Photobucket

We answer.

And now I wanna go back.

Oceanside

Um.

There are 170 photos. Not that I took, no. That would be too easy. That's merely the number I resized and decided were going on this blog. Jeeperz.

Wait, sit back down. I'm gonna do my best to not....do that ^ and also I am breaking this vacation up into parts...so, woah. Doable!

This is from way back in Biblical times also known as August. I am so, so behind and I'll probably be blogging our Halloween pictures come New Years, so stay tuned! Anyways, we do this trip with my Dad nearly every year and it's one of our very favs. Heather and her family weren't able to come, and neither was Chace. It was sad, they straight up missed out.

First up, pool time!

Photobucket

As mentioned before, this child is a fish. He could be in the water all day everyday.Weirdly enough, it took him a little while to warm up to the pool this time. But once he figured out he could dump water on Daddy's head, well...you're looking at what would be the next few hours of their lives.

Photobucket

Palms. Oh palms how you steal my heart. I will not divulge the amount of palm pictures I took. I won't. So don't even try to get it out of me! You hear?

Photobucket

My handsome Dad.

Photobucket

Buzz and Nash were so twinning that day.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Someone got pushed in with their clothes on. And then someone continued to swim like that for the next hour. Someone is super weird.

Photobucket

Hey, those are my boys right there. Aren't they cute?

Then we did ourselves a little kayaking/paddle boating. I was prepared for it to be "just ok" because it's only around the little marina, but it was honestly one of my favorite things we did.

Photobucket

Photobucket

This kid wanted to dive right in.

Photobucket

My Dad, Ethan, Ivy, Nash and I started out on the paddle boat. While the others took kayaks. I thought Steve was going to have a panic attack...he no likey deep water.

These fooligans. That's fools + hooligans. I am way cool.

Lookin for seals.

Photobucket

There's one! They were EVERYWHERE. I was equal parts excited and nervous. Them seals are huger than you thinks them are. (?)

Photobucket

They even had a kids sailing class going on. I meeaaaaaan, don't even be that cute. You take your mini sail and you go. I can't even stand it.

Photobucket

Just living the life, eatin a granola bar.

Photobucket

Then he took a little ride on the kayak. And LOVED it.

Photobucket

No one fell in, which was disappointing to say the least. Kidding, I would have been sure to have a heart attack. Where there's a large population of seals, there are also plenty of sharks. WAITING TO EAT MY FACE. But I'm like, not this face sharks. Not this face. (it's important you visualize me pointing to my face while also giving the stink eye) Aaaannyway, after we were through we had ourselves a delicious seafood dinner overlooking the water, and some dude did fall in. I was freaking out but nobody else seemed to think it was a big deal. Plus, he got right back on his kayak so...shark attack averted!

Yep, there's a tiny microscopic taste of what's coming your way. For the next SEVEN YEARS.

Yeah! I say Ocean, you say Side!

OCEAN!
......(side) this is your part

OCEAN!
......(side)

Oh dear. I promise I am not this lame in real life. Quick, someone vouch for me....
