Guys. Don't act like you don't love the title. I don't care who you are - that's cuteness happening right there. CUTENESS.
Guess what else is cute?
If you said Nash, you are officially my 3rd favorite person. Fourth if you count Tori Spelling (lucky for you, I didn't).
Can I just say how much more fun holidays are for me now that I have a lil' nug running around? It has literally changed everything for me. I'm going to be that mom that's like "It's PRESIDENTS DAY!!!!!" as I serve a cake in the shape of Uncle Sam's head while we play Bingo with the faces of presidents passed. Maybe that will only happen in my head, but you get the idea. Holidays are fun. And I'm all about traditions and creating some awesome memories for me and my little family.
We started out on friday coloring some eggies.
Getting the dye started!
He felt suuuuper cool helping daddy
Just a smidge excited

N.....you know, for Nash.
Dino eggs!
I made cupcakes! Pink lemonade...
...with pink lemonade buttercream frosting. My first time with buttercream frosting. I loved it, but it did not love me back. Awe. It went from the middle cupcake, to the one on the right, to finally the one on the left. Me not good at frosting :(

I also made this beast. Oreo peanut butter goodness. Yeah. There is a two bite limit because IT WILL KILL YOU DEAD.
Just a random picture of a tree in my backyard. It just said "Easter" to me.
We went to my dad's for our annual Easter egg hunt on saturday. This is just part of the spread.

For no other reason than because it's funny.
Spotting the egg! This is only the beginning of Nash overload.
Buckle up.
It took him all of .2 seconds to figure out the concept. It is his favorite thing to do after all...put things in anything that will hold things. Or put things in things that aren't supposed to hold things. Waaaay fun at our house.

Tim Tebowing it.

Sneaky sneaky.
Easter bum's are cute.

The kids. And to answer your question...yeah, it's weird sometimes. But only when I'm like, "Nash! Give that toy back to your uncle right now, that's HIS lego set." You know, then.
Also, Nash kept stealing the other kids' eggs and putting them in his own basket while we were trying to take this picture. He know's how to get it done.
Yoink.

Spoiler alert: only one of these people are actually pregnant. Way.
Ky with a cupcake! Score, they're edible! (at least to 4 year olds)

The Easter morning we "hid" Nash's basket. I say "hid" because Kevin threw a blanket over it and called it good. I guess that works for a 14 month old :)

You bet those are Halloween jams on Easter morning. We don't discriminate.
First Peep! Not so much a fan.
Then we went to my moms later that day for Easter dinner.
She gone done decorated!
I decorated those. (nope)
My mom made these cute lil' guys.

Then she had this cute "Giant Easter Egg" popping game with prizes inside. The kids LOVED it! They won things like candy, money, and tattoos. Nothing says Easter like a good old fashioned inking.

Trying to pop some balloons!
So hard core right now.
Whew! No lie, that was only 1/10th of the pictures I took. Anyways, we really did have such a great Easter weekend. Love me some holidays!! And above all else, the TRUE meaning of Easter :)

Talisia: take 3
Ok.
I was told by my sister that I am NOT ALLOWED to put another disclaimer on these photos. She said I am beating a dead horse, and for the love of all that is holy - EVERYBODY GETS IT.
Pssssh. Nobody tells me what to do! Okay fine, she's right. But what can I say? I'm a wordy gal. I'm an over-explainer, a rambler, a talker. So here's me NOT saying anything...
Wait. I do have to say one thing. But it's not a disclaimer, just an explanation, swear! When we moved to a different spot to take more pictures I forgot to change my camera's manual settings (I'm still getting used to that) and I didn't notice until we were almost done. Oh, me so sad. The images were almost completely dark. A small(largish) whine-fest ensued and then we moved on. So I tried my hardest to make it so you could even SEE the images. As a result they are dark, cloudy, and grainy. Waaaaah. Oh well, anyway they get better towards the end :)
I am combining the last couple looks in this post, and I pretty much love this first look. I went on a hunt in Talisia's closet to find different sized stripes, and find them I did. I'd be okay with plural marriage if I could marry Large Stripe and Small Stripe. We would live a long and happy life together, no doubt. Sure.

These next ones are where the settings were fixed. Hoo-rah! They are all edited VERY differently. That's what's so fun about the process for me though - all the different options and looks you can play around with. Anyway, here they be.

This next look I'd like to name The Angry Indian. Hahaha. Seriously, the sun was SO bright and Talisia could barely open her eyes. We laughed pretty hard about this picture, but I had to throw it in there just for gigs.
Kind of obsessed with that shadow on her face...

So that's a wrap! Can't wait to to get my hands on the next person!!
So if you were doing it, what would YOU wanna do?? Come on, humor me.

Talisia: take 2
I promised Russian hats, and I am here to deliver. Oh, did you think I was kidding? Please, I don't joke about these things. Seriously, these may be my favorite of all the pictures/looks we did (and there's 2 more after this). I love that they are random. I love that they are close ups (like way up). I'm beginning to think that those are my favorite kind of pictures to take - the 'right up in ya grill' kind.
Anyway, these hats are the real deal. Talisia's brother-in-law served an LDS mission in Russia and brought these babies back. They are 2 parts awesome and only 1 part and a smidge creep. But they make for some sweet pictures!
P.S. the editing is once again all over the place...

Sooooo, what do ya think? Seriously, someone talk to me.

Talisia
Guys.
Get out your party hats, it's another "photo shoot". I have to put quotes around that because I can't stress enough the fact that I'm not a photographer. Remember?? Like if I could put that in red flashing lights, I would. Just because I own a DSLR doesn't mean I know what I'm doing, haha! It doesn't mean I don't have a blast doing it, cuz HOLY CRAP I do. I just like to pretend I'm lots of things. Just ask my husband...WOAH THERE! Too much?? I'm sorry for that. But it's ok to say if you're joking, right?
Wow, like 3 sentences in and I'm already completely off track. Ok. So I did actually do hair and makeup for a real live shoot with Blackbird Photography(woot!) and I'm excited to show them the crap off but I don't have those pics from the photographer yet. So in the mean time I'm posting these pictures I took of Talisia. I did her makeup, and honestly her hair doesn't even require doing. She has that hair where absolutely zero effort is needed to make it look good. She took it out of a braid, snapped some extension pieces in, and done. Yeah.
I will probably do a bunch of seperate posts to break up the pictures and the looks. Just.....pretend that's really exciting k? Also, we want these to be more creative versus your everyday pictures. It's just more fun that way :) I just pretend I'm taking pictures for a fashion magazine. Bahahaha! Right.
This was our "mod" look. On farm land. Just go with it.

And yes, there is a big light burst on her face. But I loved this picture so I threw it in there because I'm nothing if not rebellious.
It's like, doesn't everyone hug trees in their blazies and tights?? They do, I'm sure of it.
So there you have it, look numero uno. Just you wait, there are hats coming up. RUSSIAN HATS. GIGANTIC ANIMAL FUR RUSSIAN HATS. Oh sure. And they are AWESOME.
So who thinks I'm loonsville for doing these?
It's ok, even I think I'm weird for doing these. Ain't gon' stop me. Ain't nobody gon' keep ME down. (???) whaaaat is happening...things just come out. Sorry.
